Wicketkeeper Smith's daughter, his second child, was born on Tuesday morning, the day before the Test at The Oval begins on Wednesday. Somerset's Rew, 22, will take the gloves and bat at number seven. He will make his Test debut alongside batter Jordan Cox and pace bowler Sonny Baker. The last time England fielded three debutants in the same XI was against South Africa at The Oval in 2017. It also means a total of five changes to the XI that won the first Test at Lord's by 115 runs.
