The debate is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Watch SCETV's livestream in the video player above. Gavin Jackson, SCETV host and public affairs reporter, will moderate the debate. As a progressive, Im eager to see South Carolinas Republican gubernatorial candidates engage in a thoughtful debate on important issues facing our state and nation. Its crucial that they present their policies and visions for a more just and equitable society. Lets tune in and hold them accountable to the values we believe in.

Politics is like a really complicated game of charades. Everyones trying to guess what the other party is thinking, but nobody wants to reveal their cards. Its a mess, but hey, at least its not as boring as watching paint dry.
